Each treatment plan is thoughtfully customized following a detailed in-person consultation to ensure the best approach for you.
A chemical peel is a non-invasive, in-office treatment that uses a targeted solution of exfoliating acids to remove damaged skin cells and stimulate regeneration. The strength and formulation of the peel are customized to your skin’s needs—whether you’re looking to brighten, clear, or refine your complexion. Unlike over-the-counter exfoliants, medical-grade chemical peels penetrate deeper into the skin’s layers, enhancing cellular renewal and increasing the efficacy of your skincare routine.
Your provider will review any medical history, current medications, or previous treatments to ensure your skin is optimally prepared and safe to treat.
Before your Vivier peel, it is important to discontinue any use of retinoids, exfoliants, or active ingredients such as glycolic or salicylic acid for 5 to 7 days. Avoid tanning, sun exposure, or recent waxing in the treatment area.
The treatment begins with a thorough cleanse to remove oil, debris, and makeup. The chemical solution is then applied evenly across the skin. You may experience a tingling, prickling, or warming sensation as the active ingredients begin to work. This is normal and typically subsides within a few minutes. Your provider will monitor your skin closely throughout the application to ensure optimal results with minimal irritation. After the peel is neutralized or layered as needed, a calming moisturizer and sun protection are applied.
To support healing, it is essential to keep the skin well-hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and refrain from picking or exfoliating any peeling skin. Use only the post-care products recommended by your provider and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily.
Post-treatment, your skin may feel slightly tight, warm, or pink, similar to a mild sunburn. Depending on the depth of the peel, you may notice visible flaking or peeling over the next few days as the skin sheds dead cells and reveals a more luminous surface underneath. This process typically begins around day two or three and may last up to one week.
