Radiesse

Radiesse is an FDA-approved dermal filler used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. It is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel.

Once injected, Radiesse provides immediate volume while also stimulating the body’s natural collagen production, helping improve skin firmness and structure over time. It is commonly used to treat areas such as the cheeks, jawline, smile lines, and hands, with results that can last up to 12–18 months.

What Takes Place During a Radiesse Treatment?

Treatment Process
Consultation +

Your provider discusses your goals—typically restoring volume, improving contour, or enhancing skin firmness (common areas: cheeks, jawline, chin, hands). They'll assess your facial structure and decide placement carefully, since Radiesse is a thicker, structural filler.

Preparation +

The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed. Radiesse is often mixed with lidocaine, and additional numbing cream or ice may be used to keep you comfortable.

Injection Process +

Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel) is injected into deeper layers of the skin using a needle or cannula. You may feel pressure or mild stinging, but discomfort is usually brief. The provider shapes and sculpts as they go to ensure smooth, natural contours.

After Treatment +

You'll usually be advised to

- Avoid heavy exercise, alcohol, and heat for 24–48 hours
- Minimize touching or pressing on the area
- Expect mild swelling, redness, or bruising for a few days.

Results +

You'll notice instant volume and definition right away from the gel carrier. Over time, your body absorbs the gel, while the calcium particles stimulate your own collagen production.
