Step-by-Step First-time Consultation Guide
Embarking on your journey with non-surgical aesthetic treatments can feel both exciting and quietly unfamiliar. It’s only natural to arrive with questions, expectations, and a touch of uncertainty ahead of your first visit.
Our New Patient Playbook has been thoughtfully curated to guide you through each step of the experience—offering clarity on what to expect during your initial consultation, insight into our bespoke approach to treatment planning, and reassurance so you feel informed, prepared, and completely at ease before you arrive.
Whether this is your first introduction to aesthetic treatments or simply your first time with our clinic, consider this your guide to a refined and confident beginning.

Every initial visit at GlowUp Medispa includes a consultation built directly into your appointment. This consultation is led by the provider performing your treatment, allowing for clear communication and continuity of care from the very beginning.
Consultations are intentionally concise, typically lasting around 15-30 minutes. The focus is to understand your concerns, assess your suitability, and explore realistic treatment options—rather than conducting a full diagnostic evaluation. For this reason, arriving prepared allows you to make the most of your time with us.
A few considerations before your visit:
- Most treatments require a clean treatment area. For example, avoid makeup before facials and deodorant before laser hair removal. While cleansing can be done in-clinic, arriving prepared ensures a smoother experience.
- For treatments involving needles, limiting over-the-counter blood thinners (such as aspirin, Advil, or Aleve) for at least 48 hours prior may help reduce the likelihood of bruising. This is not required, but worth considering.
- If you’ve recently received aesthetic treatments elsewhere, be mindful of proper spacing. Some procedures require downtime, while others may overlap in function. Your provider will guide you, though planning ahead is always beneficial.
If you are ever unsure about how to prepare, our team is always available to assist you prior to your appointment.
