In 2019, Yuan Yuan founded GlowUp MediSpa as Ottawa's first medical aesthetics clinic rooted in Asian facial aesthetics, addressing a long-standing gap in culturally informed care. While her work is deeply informed by an understanding of Asian facial structure and proportion, her core focus has always been natural, balanced results—making her approach equally well suited for clients of all ethnic backgrounds who value subtle enhancement and authentic beauty.

Beginning her nursing career in hospital operating rooms, Yuan Yuan developed a meticulous understanding of anatomy, precision, and safety—principles that continue to define her practice today. This clinical background shapes her commitment to conservative treatment planning, thoughtful assessment, and outcomes that remain harmonious over time.

Yuan Yuan has completed advanced aesthetic training with leading global medical aesthetic companies, including Allergan, Galderma, and Merz, and continues to pursue ongoing education in injectable treatments and energy-based technologies. Known for her natural outcomes and clear clinical methodology, she is also frequently invited to provide professional education and training to other medical practitioners.
